October 10, 2006 : Hollywood Style - Runway
Hollywood, CA – YMI rolled out the red carpet for guests at the hottest new club in Los Angeles, Social Hollywood. This event celebrated and showcased the newest collection of YMI; YMI Royalty. With the new premium denim collection available in stores this month, this event featured a host of fabulous celebrities and a glamorous runway show. Models sauntered down the red velvet-lined runway in sleek and sexy denim styles for Spring 2007. Accessorized and dressed for “royalty” with shoes from Michael Antonio, jewelry from Erica Courtney, hair by Toni & Guy and makeup by Too Faced, the girls looked gorgeous in simple white tops paired with a variety of spring denim styles. Runway looks included bermudas, short-shorts, jeans of all shapes and even some couture pieces especially created for a “runway” look. The finale featured a fantastic long skirt with a train and suspenders over a lacy black bra-top. Talk about Hollywood glam!
Beginning the runway show in the best of YMI and YMI Royalty were celebrity models Aaron Carter and Angel Carter of the hot new E! Entertainment Television show House of Carters. Choreographed by director Tod Hallman to music mixed by DJ Adam 12 from She Wants Revenge, the show ended on a high note as thousands of red rose petals flourished over the guests and the runway as Miss Teen USA 2006 Katie Blair escorted YMI President David Vered down the runway to take a bow.
Celebrities and Hollywood insiders walked the red carpet including Nick Carter, Aaron Carter and Angel Carter (House of Carters). The Carter clan got cozy on the red carpet along with celebs like Chris Judd, Rex Lee (Entourage), Angela Oh (Touched By An Angel), Ashley Rose Orr (That’s So Raven), Jennifer Sciole (Poseidon), Joanie Dodds (America’s Next Top Model), Cassandra Hepburn (Days of our Lives), Cher Tenbush (Beauty and the Geek), Wes Wilson (Beauty and the Geek), Hayley Marie Norman (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip), Kimberly Caldwell (American Idol), Tanya Cooley (Real World), Ken Mitchell (Kenan and Kel) and Bobbi Sue Luther (Curb Your Enthusiasm).
After the runway show guests were treated to a night of decadence in Social’s famous Barrymore Ballroom decorated with the red rose petal theme reflecting YMI’s recently released winter/holiday 2006-2007 ad campaign featuring Katie Blair, Miss Teen USA.
To top off the evening, guests left the event with a signature YMI tote bag filled with goodies like TIGI and BeadHead hair styling products, Too Faced lip gloss, OPI Nail Lacquer, Jaqua Lotion, the Spledora Handheld book, Orbitz Gum and, of course, a YMI Tank Top!
