YMI Shoots Holiday Campaign with Beauty Queens

September 5, 2007 - Los Angeles, CA – How do you add a little glitter to the holidays? Well, that’s easy when you have three gorgeous beauty queens modeling for you. Miss Universe Riyo Mori, Miss USA Rachel Smith and Miss Teen USA Hilary Cruz posed for the cameras as acclaimed photographer George Holz shot the YMI Jeanswear Holiday 2007 advertising campaign. Shot on located at famed Miau Haus Studios in Los Angeles, the shoot captured a “sneak peak” of the models backstage as if preparing for the glitz and glam of an on-stage performance. The campaign captures the excitement and exhilaration of “backstage access” and the paparazzi in attendance definitely got a backstage pass. MTV was on set to capture the titleholders for their new reality series Pageant Place. The series will follow the girls through their whirlwind travels as ambassadors for philanthropy, charity and, of course, celebrity.

This campaign is the first national and international advertising campaign featuring all three Miss Universe titleholders. Showing off the hottest holiday season looks from YMI Jeanswear’s three clothing lines, YMI Royalty, YMI Premium and YMI From the City of Angels, the models were shot both individually and together to capture the essence of the underlying theme of the campaign, “YMI Presents Beauty.”

YMI contest winner Brittany Robledo was caught up in the action as she spent the day on set as part of her “Enter to Win a Trip to Hollywood” prize package. Brittany was flown from her hometown of Lubbock, Texas, with her mother to glamorous Los Angeles where she received a special YMI gift package in her hotel room. Decked out in YMI from head to toe, Brittany arrived on set for the special day where she got to spend time with each of the titleholders and watch the action unfold. Be sure to tune in to Pageant Place on MTV when it airs in October and see the episode capturing part of Brittany’s behind the scenes experience.
